In your dreams

First of all, can I just say, THANK YOU to everyone who has invited people to my group page on facebook! You guys are amazing! I have been sending out free jpegs left and right!! I hope you all find something creative to do with your print! (if you don't know what I'm talking about, go here) I hope to send out lots more before the end of the month is here. :) And then, who knows what I'll give away! The wheels are already turning!

And back to our regularly scheduled programming...

I was thinking about dreams this morning.

No, not dreams for the future and all that (I do enough of that)...I'm talking about the dreams that happen while you're sleeping.

Have you ever had a full dream with events that last for hours, only to wake up just seconds after you've fallen asleep? How is it even possible to have so many thoughts flooding through your brain in such a short time?
This gets me thinking...our brains have greater capacity than we know. If they can "photograph" an entire, detailed dream in a matter of seconds, what else are our brains capable of?

Have any of you studied dreams and sleep patterns? Can anyone give insight into this?

I just thought it was something interesting to ponder today.

Oh and, here's a picture. Just because I like to take pictures...and then look at them. :)

ooo, this is a great subject, i just had an "unofficial" dream analysis with Pastor Roxanne (she took a course in this) it was very very interesting, however, I think I should keep the details until we have a coffee date set :) love your blog!

I dream really vividly too & have been since I was a kid!
Have you seen the movie inception? If not, you should check it out!
Not sure if it's a fact, but they do mention the time difference in dreams and real life being so different.
Our minds are very interesting and created to be very powerful.
I know that God often speaks to us in our sleep and can often use symbols etc. It's a difficult topic though, because New Age will often try to make it weird and stuff. Found this book was really good and sound in terms of interpretation: 'Parables in the night seasons' by Joy Parrott.
